The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is aware of threats of violence being made on social media toward our deputies.

We want to make it clear: Threats against our deputies, staff, or any member of our personnel will not be tolerated. We will take all credible threats seriously, investigate them thoroughly, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

Making a violent threat online does not make it any less serious, and there can be legal consequences for doing so
